Henry Cavill’s Luscious Mo Is Being Digitally Removed For ‘Justice League’

Truly there is no greater story in Hollywood than RESHOOT DRAMA. Seems every blockbuster these days is forced to go through late-game, extensive reshoots which don’t exactly inspire confidence in the final product.
(For the record, it’s not always a bad thing – there were numerous reports of a punishing reshoot schedule for Rogue One and that movie ended up kicking ass.)
The fresh new yarn comes via Variety, who are reporting on the big dramas on the Justice League production. Warner Bros is spending approximately $25 million on reshoots for the blockbuster superhero movie, which is far more than one might expect.
Of course, there was always going to be a bit of reshuffling after Joss Whedon came on to replace Zack Snyder, who left the production after the death of his daughter. But it looks like a big gig.
Though there are a lot of dramas, one in particular stands out – Henry Cavill, who plays Clark Kent / Superman – has a moustache now. Not because he’s just generally keen on facial fungus, but because he needs one for his role in the new Mission Impossible movie. As per Variety:

“Justice League’s” Man of Steel had expected to be able to finish shooting the sixth “Mission: Impossible” film before needing to don Superman’s spandex again. That has not been the case, however, as the new scenes that are being shot have required him to jump back and forth from each production. Because of this, a moustache he grew for his character in the “Mission: Impossible” sequel will have to be digitally removed in post-production. Paramount, which is distributing the “Mission: Impossible” sequel, would not allow Cavill to shave the facial hair while production was taking place.

Please, pray for the nerd who has been tasked with digitally painting Cavill’s furry lip hair out of every frame. It is definitely sad that we’re missing out on the opportunity to see this, though:

For a reference point, this is the mo that would otherwise be nestled below Cavill’s nose while he’s donning Superman’s tights. Ah, what could have been.
