The Nashville and Heroes star, who has been absent from social media for the past ten months, returned to Twitter today to share a photo of her bold new pixie cut.
She announced that she’s channeling her inner Kirby – a reference to her character in the iconic slasher movie Scream 4. You can check it out below:

Leonard Zagami, who styled Hayden Panettiere, told E! News that the actress was looking for a “radical change” so “last night we just went for it!”
“It’s a modern version of a classic pixie style with a little more of an edge,” he continued. “The color is silver, but not grey. She had previously been going with a super sexy blonde.”
Panettiere has been largely out of the public eye since February of this year, when her boyfriend Brian Hickerson was arrested after an alleged confrontation with her.
A judge issued him with a protective order keeping him away from her, but the case was dismissed in September, and they have since reconciled.
