The Haunting Of Bly Manor’s Creator Says There Are No Plans For Further Seasons Any Time Soon

The Haunting Of Bly Manor

Sorry to break it to you, horror fans, but Mike Flanagan, the creator of the Netflix hit The Haunting Of Bly Manor has revealed that there are no plans for any further seasons of the show right now.

Back in 2018, The Haunting Of Hill House proved to be a major hit for Netflix, and Flanagan and his production partner struck a lucrative deal that included turning the show into a horror anthology.

The follow-up, The Haunting Of Bly Manor, turned up on the service this year, but it seems that’s all we’re getting for now. When asked this week whether we’d see more seasons of the show, Flanagan told his Twitter followers:

“At the moment there are no plans for more chapters. Never say never, of course, but right now we are focused on a full slate of other Intrepid projects for 2021 and beyond. If things change we will absolutely let everyone know!”

This is certainly crushing news for fans of general spookiness and ghosts hiding in the corners of frames, but we’re excited to see what comes next.

The ending of The Haunting Of Bly Manor seems similar to the way in which David Fincher‘s Netflix series Mindhunter wrapped up this year.

Fincher said that a third season of the expensive serial killer show would not be happening any time soon, although he vaguely hinted at the possibility that he might “revisit” it someday.
