Harry Styles Raised $1.2 Million For Charity W/ His Tour & He Oughta Be Sainted

Harry Styles

As Entertainment Editor here at Pedestrian.TV, it’s my job to write about all celebrities relevant to our target audience from the beloved to the vilified and I’m totally cool with that, it’s what I signed up for! And so whenever I write a Kardashian-Jenner related story, for example, I usually start the piece with “Love them or hate them, but…” ‘coz I’m well aware that they are very polarising creatures, but such an introduction would not make sense for this story ‘coz literally every single human on earth and the nether realms LOVES Harry Styles and I won’t hear different.

Not only is he breathtakingly gorgeous, has the voice of a literal angel and puts on one helluva show (believe me, I’ve done the leg work… three times!) but he always uses his celebrity powers for good.

The 24-year-old just finished the last of 89 sold out tour dates from his self-titled world tour and according to Variety, he dropped a bunch of mass donations to charity and I really feel like we needa spotlight it ‘coz WOW.

Styles reportedly raised $1.2 million in charity donations for a total of 62 charities around the world from children’s hospitals to cancer research to organisations assisting the LGBTQ youth (here’s a complete list https://hstyles.co.uk/tpwk) and led to more than 5,000 direct connections between fans and the local charities.

He also registered hundreds of new voters via Headcount and, I mean, given recent events this is a V. necessary feat.

And lastly, our bb lent a massive helping hand to water conservation as his tour saved the equivalent of 10,000 single-use water bottles by fans and 3,200 by the band and crew and recycled more than 6,500 gallons of water from buses, offices, dressing rooms and other backstage areas.

Styles’ tour pushed a positive social agenda across the globe as his merch included items emblazoned with the words ‘TREAT PEOPLE WITH KINDNESS’ and he proudly waved both the LGBTQ and Black Lives Matter flags at his shows.

And let’s not forget that time when he helped a girl come out to her mother midway through his San Jose show.

As his tour sadly came to an end, Styles posted the following adorable pic and thanked fans for taking part in the remarkable journey.

“Kissy. Thank you for coming out to see us, it has been a pleasure playing for you all. I’m off to write some more music and I hope I’ll be seeing you again very soon. Thank you to my band, the crew, and all of you for making this tour so wonderful. Treat people with kindness. Goodbye for now. I love you all. H.”

Here’s to Harry fucking Styles for being the hero that the world needs right now <3
