We all know you came here for footage of Harry Styles having his face caved in by a dodgeball. Maybe you envisioned a slow-mo vid showing his flawless mug ripple from the impact of an orange sphere. Maybe you thought there would be some grisly post-impact photo, showing the dude nursing a newly deviated septum.
The truth is that a ball was launched at his noggin during a celebrity dodgeball match – but video posted by his official Twitter account reveals the singer ducked away just in time. We invite you to witness his reflexes:

Impressive.
That footage comes ahead of The Late Late Show‘s new London special, which is set to air in a few hours’ time over in the US.
The cornerstone of that episode is the aforementioned dodgeball match, which is set to feature Styles alongside host James Corden, Sherlock and Doctor Strange star Benedict Cumberbatch, Game of Thrones favourite John Bradley, and musical miscreant Reggie Watts.

On the other team? Oh, you know, Mila Kunis, Lena Waithe, Allison Janney, Kate Hudson, Melissa McCarthy, and Michelle Obama. Yes, that Michelle Obama, who took time out of her schedule to Throw Things At Boys.
Dodgeball is a recurring motif for The Late Late Show. When Styles’ band One Direction was still a thing, Corden invited the gang for a game. In that particular match-up, Styles copped a shot to the nads, which you can see in the video below:
We’ll keep you posted if the singer sustains any similar injuries – and if those wounds were caused by the former First Lady of the United States of America.
