Harry Styles’ Interview W/ Paul McCartney Pretty Much Confirms 1D Is Kaput

If you’ve been hanging on to the lingering thread of hope that maybe One Direction are just having a laugh and are definitely staying together, then BOY OH BOY, do we have some bad news for you.
We posted the ruddy gorgeous cover images for Harry Styles‘ first-ever solo interview, which was with UK mag ‘Another Man‘ – he’s dressed as a range of different iconic rock stars and front men of bands like The Rolling Stones and The Beatles
The interview, which was actually conducted by a man who knows a lil’ something about the decision to break free and start a successful solo career: Beatles frontman Sir Paul McCartney, gave us way more insight into what’s actually happening to the biggest boy band of our generation.
1D are dunzo. Soz.
While a split hasn’t been officially announced (but remember, N*SYNC and Destiny’s Child never officially announced their breakup either), the main paragraph where it becomes very obvious is when Styles speaks about not ruling out getting back together.
“I would never say we’ll never do anything again, but it’s good for us to be exploring different things.

Maybe at some point everyone will want to do something again, but it’s better if it happens naturally. Like, ‘Hey, we all really want to do something again.’

If that were to happen it would be amazing. I would never rule that out.”
DON’T SHOOT THE MESSENGER, WE’RE SORRY.
Sir Paul was sympathetic to Styles‘ situation (for obvious reasons), saying,
“After you’ve left something big and famous and now you’re actually doing your own thing, it can be great. I’m glad you’re enjoying it.”
Unlike Zayn Malik, Harry says he has absolutely no regrets about being in 1D:

“The nice thing for me is that I’m not coming away from the band feeling like I wasn’t able to do what I wanted to do.

I loved it and it was what I wanted but I’m enjoying writing at the moment; trying new things. I’ve been asking myself, ‘What do I want to say?’”
And Directioners – he’s never gonna 4get:
“It’s the most important, greatest thing that’s ever happened to me, being in that band.”
