Harrison Ford Reportedly Seriously Injured In A Light Plane Crash

Legendary actor Harrison Ford has reportedly suffered serious injuries following a light plane crash at a Los Angeles golf course.

The plane, a vintage 2-seater fighter plane being piloted by the 72 year-old Ford, came down on the Penmar golf course in the Venice region of Los Angeles. Emergency personnel arrived a short time later and treated the actor – who did survive the crash – for injuries that include, at the very least, multiple gashes to the head. Conflicting reports are circulating in the media, with TMZ reporting that Ford’s injuries are “serious,” whilst Sky News states that Ford is in critical condition.

NBC News asserts that whilst earlier reports may have claimed the actor to be in critical condition, he was stabilised at the scene and transported to hospital with potential head lacerations and suspected fractures – by all accounts Ford, whilst seriously hurt, has not suffered life-threatening injuries.

Ford is an avid aviator and has been involved in a crash before – in 1999 the helicopter he was piloting overcorrected and slammed into the ground near Santa Clarita, with neither Ford nor his co-pilot suffering injuries.
