Harrison Craig Wins ‘The Voice’, Cements Seal As King Of The Coaches

Seal has cemented his position as chief overlord of The Voice Australia judging panel with his second consecutive singer-grooming success story after leading Melbourne teenager Harrison Craig to victory. The baby faced croon dawg was announced the winner at the Grand Finale episode last night [re-live every moment in our comprehensive Live Blog here], edging out runner up Luke Kennedy representing Team Ricky.

Seal was also the mentor behind title-clincher of the inaugural season of The Voice Australia, Karise Eden, who has made nary a peep in the Australian pop music landscape following the initial post-Voice hype phase. Can Harrison make a dent in the charts and keep the publicity juggernaut rolling now that the show has wrapped? I’m predicting there’ll be a degree of ongoing success in the over 60s demographic.

The real question is whether or not Seal will return to the swivel chair in 2014 and go for three from three. After having been exposed to Australia’s unsatisfactorily rigid attitude toward joint smoking, there’s a possibility that the guy will throw in the towel and return to the land of casual cannabis consumption from whence he came.
