Harlem Globetrotter Bull Bullard Escapes Certain Death, Shatters Backboard With Dunk

A 6’4, 98kg Harlem Globetrotter named William ‘Bull’ Bullard narrowly escaped certain death over the weekend after a routine dunk turned into his worst nightmare when a stanchion broke and caused the entire apparatus to fall, pulling the hoop down on top of him and shattering the backboard just above his head – which he managed to tuck in – at Nacional de Ingenieros Coliseum in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, as part of the Globetrotter’s otherwise hazard-free tour of Central America.
Having escaped with minor cuts, Bullard is reported to be “okay”. This, on the other hand, is genuinely terrifying.
