Hannah Gadsby, Body of Work

In some wonderful news to kick off your week, adored comedian Hannah Gadsby has announced a brand new show. It’s called Body of Work and it’s coming to a stage near you.

Body of Work is a brand new stand up show from the comedian, which will hit stages across Australia and New Zealand from July this year.

That’s venues across Melbourne, Perth, Brissy, Canberra, Newcastle, Darwin, Hobart, Launceston, Bendigo, Albury, Bunbury, Albany and Mandurah, as well as Auckland and Wellington over in NZ.

And no, Gadsby hasn’t forgotten about Sydney. The team is just busy planning “something special” for the favourite child and will update you all soon.

“Here’s a bit of Hooray….I have a brand new show…it is called BODY of WORK…and I’ll be visiting all sorts of places across AUSTRALIA and NEW ZEALAND,” Gadsby wrote on social media.

“I’m not traditionally an excitable person but…yep…I’m back on a real live stage. It’s nice.”

I can just feel the excitement thrumming through the screen.

Pre-sale tickets are available from Wednesday, 12 May, while general public tickets will go on sale at 9am, this Friday (14 May).

You can suss out all the dates and locations right HERE. Straight to the group chat, I reckon.

Tour plans for the rest of the world are being put in place, by the way. But I’m pretty sure that one depends on, well, [gestures at pandemic].

It’s been a busy time for Gadsby as she recently announced she got hitched to producer Jenney Shamash, who she described as “very funny and is really talented at reciting facts.”

“We got married in January and we are very chuffed about it. For the record: this is me gushing. I am full of very positive feelings. This is a nice story. My heart felt thanks to everybody who voted for marriage equality,” Gadsby wrote.

If you’re in the sudden mood for some Hannah Gadsby content, you can catch her celebrated works, including Nanette and Douglas on Netflix now.
