Elisabeth Moss Is Here To Fuck Shit Up In The Grim Trailer For The Handmaid’s Tale Season 4

The Handmaid's Tale

UPDATE: The Handmaid’s Tale will be exclusively fast-tracked to SBS and SBS On Demand!

The Handmaid’s Tale has unleashed an explosive teaser for its upcoming fourth season. And folks, June is here to fuck shit up. Gilead doesn’t know what’s coming, I tell you what.

It’s been quite a lengthy wait for fans of the critically acclaimed dystopian series, since season 3 premiered way back in June 2019. But you won’t have to wait much longer, because season 4 will drop this April. That’s a wee two months away!

In the fourth season of The Handmaid’s Tale, June (Elisabeth Moss) strikes back against Gilead as a badass rebel leader, but it comes at a cost. Her thirst for justice and revenge threatens to completely consume her and destroy her most cherished relationships.

The Emmy-winning series co-stars Joseph Fiennes (Shakespeare in Love – yes, I confused him with Ralph first, it’s FRIDAY), Yvonne Strahovski (Dexter), Samira Wiley (Orange is the New Black), Alexis Bledel (Gilmore Girls), Max Minghella (Teen Spirit), and O-T Fagbenle (Black Widow).

As an aside, Fagbenle was just cast as former United States President Barack Obama in the anthology series The First Lady, opposite Viola Davis, who will play former First Lady Michelle Obama. That show will probably do numbers too, hey?

ANYWHO, The Handmaid’s Tale was renewed for a fifth season last December, which I personally find very impressive. After being burned by Netflix one too many times, any show that lives beyond its second season gets a round of applause from me.

The Handmaid’s Tale season 4 is slated for an April 28 release on American streaming service Hulu, so here’s hoping Stan fast-tracks it.

Litttttle bit intense, that teaser.

The series is adapted from the classic novel by Margaret Atwood, which tells the story of life in the totalitarian society of Gilead (formerly the United States of A). In it, fertile women are assigned to the homes of elite Commanders and their wives. Their only duties as women, as handmaids, are to carry children for the families.

You can find seasons 1 to 3 of The Handmaid’s Tale on Stan now.
