Eternal radio favourite Hamish Blake is making a career transition to illegal street racing and professional gaming. Well, sort of.
Walt Disney Animation Studios has just announced that Blake will feature in the upcoming Ralph Breaks The Internet as Pyro, a member of an underground hoon syndicate which races through the digital world of Wreck-It Ralph.
The first image of the character gives quite a bit away: the cheeky goatee, tilted baseball cap, and stretched lobes give Pyro the look of someone who blasts suss tunes from their broken phone speaker while riding the bus.
But Pyro probably doesn’t do much bus-riding, considering his involvement with Gal Gadot’s character Shank. Early footage from the Wreck-It Ralph sequel shows Shank is pretty serious about getting sideways:
In a statement, Blake said “It was a massive buzz to be asked to be part of this, I loved the first movie.
“Whilst I only have a few lines in the film, I’m positive movie goers will agree they are the heart and soul of the movie.”
Of course. Ralph Breaks The Internet, which stars John C. Reilly and Sarah Silverman, premieres on Aussie screens this Boxing Day.
