Music icon Halsey has taken to Instagram in the wee hours of the morning to announce that she’s expecting her first child and oh god, I am SOBBING like the baby she will soon have.
Halsey, real name Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, took to Instagram on Thursday morning to announce the exciting news that she’s having a baby with her partner, screenwriter Alev Aydin.
“Surprise,” she simply captioned the post, showing off a number of iconic pregnancy photos.
Seriously, stop what you’re doing and have a peek through these pregnancy photos, I assure you, it’ll make you clucky as hell.
I simply cannot stress this enough: I am SCREAMING. I love this for her.
Naturally, fans went absolutely buck-wild over the new, with the photo receiving over 3 million likes and 161,909 comments within the first two hours alone.
You’d be forgiven for having no bloody idea she was even in a relationship though, with the couple only sparking dating rumours earlier this year, but never actually confirming the news.
So, unfortunately, we’ve got no idea how long they’ve been together, but we can assume the relationship is going well for the soon-to-be-parents.
The news is especially exciting for the 26-year-old singer, who suffered a miscarriage on tour in 2015, and has spoken openly about it in the past.
“When I started touring and playing concerts and travelling, the stress and strain on my body really started to enhance the symptoms and make the experience a little bit worse,” she said previously.
There’s no word yet on a due date, so I guess that just means we’ll all have to be on Halsey baby watch for the foreseeable future.
