And it looks like we’re not the only ones with doubts, the US Patent & Trademark office has demanded that the Baldwin daughter submit proof that she is, in fact, married to the singer before she trademarks the name Hailey Bieber for her new clothing line.
According to The Blast, the USPTO says Hailey’s statement must specify that she gives “consent to the use and registration of my name, HAILEY BIEBER, as a trademark and/or service mark with the USPTO.”
The office also states that Hailey’s initial proposal for a clothing line was too vague and she must stipulate exactly what type of clothing she’s planning on selling.
Officials have already reportedly had a discussion with Bieber’s attorney on the matter, but as no solution has been reached, she must submit the aforementioned statement or her request will be denied.
Reports of the pair being hitched surfaced last year after Baldwin changed her Insty name and Bieber uploaded the following pic alongside his bae, captioned with: “My wife is awesome.”
It has also been reported that they tied the knot at a courthouse by themselves back in September and are currently planning a religious destination wedding for their family and friends for around April or May of this year.
An insider close to the couple revealed that there have been multiple postponements of the wedding which is pretty suss.
“They’re working with the schedules of all their friends and family to make sure they can be surrounded by the people they love. There’s no real rush. They’re already legally married, but they’re very excited about throwing a celebration with their loved ones,” the Bieber source shared.
TMZ reported that 300 people were sent Save the Dates for their ceremony including Drake, Chris Brown (yuck), Odell Beckham Jr., Kylie Jenner, and Travis Scott.
Also, the model told The Cut back in September that her dress has yet to be made, but she has settled on a designer, who will be kept secret.
So it defo sounds like there’s a wedding in the works but whether or not the pair are currently officially husband and wife remains to be seen.
