Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin started advertising for private tutors for their children in the UK yesterday with a very demanding check-list of skills.
In an ad placed on the site Seek-A-Tutor.com, the A-list couple said they were after private tuition because the British education system ‘lacks traditional elements of classical thought and learning’. To that end, successful candidates would have to embody the kind of classic intellect necessary to teach children who’s names are Apple and Moses. For those of you getting together your resume, expectations include speaking at least four languages fluently, playing multiple instruments, being passionate about tennis and sailing and ‘probably Oxbridge [Oxford or Cambridge University]-educated.’
If you can satisfy all of those criteria, the couple will pay all your expenses, put you up in a flat in West London, allow you to travel with them when Gwen has to -sigh- do a film or Chris has to headline some mega-festival all while giving you a £60,000 salary for only about two to four hours’ work a day.
Time to start brushing up on that backhand.
