Grant From ‘Bachelor In Paradise’ Slams Ali’s Claim He Used Her For Fame

Cards fully on the table here, guys, it’s been a long five weeks of Bachelor In Paradise Australia and I’m not even fully sure who’s still on this mess of a show now that my husband Apollo Jackson has departed.

That said, the two-part finale airs tonight and tomorrow, and of the four remaining couples, it seems that at least one of them has failed to make it work outside of paradise, with Grant Kemp and Ali Oetjen trading barbs this week in the tabloids.

The trouble started when former Paradise contestant and world-class shit-stirrer Leah Costa spoke out on Ali’s behalf, saying that her mate was furious because she felt used by Grant, who only dated her because it was the “easiest way” to stay on the show and raise his profile.

Grant did not take kindly to those aspersions on his character (perish the thought that anyone would go on Bachelor In Paradise for attention and exposure), and told the Daily Mail:

“If I was trying to chase fame by dating someone I wouldn’t have dated the girl who hasn’t been on TV for years.”

That definitely wins the award for the shadiest shade since Kourtney Kardashian came for Kim‘s ex-husband Kris Humphries, but that’s neither here nor there.

Speaking with Yahoo Be earlier this week, Leah said:

“I’ve actually spoken to Ali since and she was like, ‘I should’ve listened to you. You warned me.’ And I was like, ‘Yup, Grant just wants to be famous’. I feel really sorry for her – I don’t think she deserved to have her heart broken. She really did want to find love and I think Grant just chose the easiest way of staying there … she got caught in the crossfire.”

Someone’s apparently proposing to someone in the two-part Paradise finale, and based on which couple looks the least dead-behind-the-eyes here, we’re strongly tipping that it’s going to be Sam Cochrane and Tara Pavlovic.

That said, we’re not ruling Keira Maguire and our boy Jarrod Woodgate out just yet. Will Jarrod’s seed rise and spawn a new generation of tinier, even more lethal Jarrods? Find out tonight and tomorrow night, I guess!
