XOXO: Actual Angel Tavi Gevinson Leads New Main Cast Announcement For ‘Gossip Girl’ Reboot

Gossip Girl

Hey there, Upper East Siders, HBO has just unveiled the latest additions to the main cast of the highly anticipated reboot.

The reboot, set eight years after the original’s ending, will follow a new generation of New York private school kids as they are introduced to the wonders of the Gossip Girl site. As you can expect, the new show will explore how social media has changed since we last checked in on the Upper East Side.

Writer and actor extraordinaire Tavi Gevinson (Scream Queens, The Twilight Zone) has joined the main cast alongside Thomas Doherty (Disney’s Descendants, Legacies), stage and film actor Adam Chanler-Berat, and Zion Moreno.

Side note: I Googled Thomas Doherty who, if you’re not familiar with, has a Chuck Bass-esque jawline.

This be Adam Chanler-Berat.

And, introducing Zion Moreno.

They join previously confirmed new kids on the (rich) block Emily Alyn Lind, Whitney PeakEli BrownJonathan Fernandez, and Jason Gotay.

According to showrunner Joshua Safran, there are still more series regulars to come.

Also, the one and only Kristen Bell will return as narrator, because what is the point of Gossip Girl without her? Honestly.

HBO has ordered ten episodes all up from the original series creators Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, Stephanie Savage is the most perfect name for the series creator of Gossip Girl.

There’s yet to be an official release date, but we’ll keep you updated. In the meantime, I believe it only appropriate to conclude this yarn with the following.

I feel old.
