‘Girls’ Star Adam Driver Is Currently Shooting A Film In Oz

The guy you probably recognise as Hannah’s boyfriend – king of the gut-clenchingly awkward sex scene – in HBO’s Girls, Adam Driver, is currently in Australia shooting a film. Tracks is based on the novel of the same name, and will recreate Australian writer Robyn Davidson‘s 1977 solo trek through the outback, a nine month trip accompanied only by her dog and four camels.

Driver will star alongside the genetically blessed leading lady Alice In Wonderland Mia Wasikowska who plays Davidson, while Driver takes the role of Rick Smolan, Davidson’s on again/off again photographer boyfriend who drives out to meet and film the writer during her 2,700 kilometre journey.

Produced by the Oscar-glorified Emile Sherman and Iain Canning (The King’s Speech), the film will be shot entirely in South Australia and Northern Territory. It’s in very early stages of production so it will probably be quite some time before any talk of trailers and release dates.
