We get it. The world does not need another buddy cop comedy. The formula has been cracked, pairs have been hilaaariously mismatched, and audiences have cottoned on pretty well to the whole schtick.
And yet. AND YET.
Kevin Hart and The Rock came along, brandished their shiny little phones, and gave us a slab of genuine comedic chemistry behind the scenes of Central Intelligence.
Oh, you guys.
Now the teaser trailer’s been unleashed, we can already see some familiar workings. Kevin Hart is not a big human! Dwayne Johnson is a very big human! What could go possibly wrong in their ~ crazy ~ hijinks?
Still, thanks to those cheeky lil’ Instagram peeks, the fact that Hart is taking an unlikely turn as the straight-man and some… questionable (but well-done) CGI, it’s already looking like another solid addition to the buddy-film canon.
