If your workplace is chill with some decidedly salty language, go ahead and fire this badboy up right now. Otherwise, it’s probably time to put the ole’ headphones in.
Because we’re all nothing if not complete suckers for sequels, the dawn of Ted 2 is fast approaching on the horizon. The follow up to the original tale of a boy’s best friend come to life, only to grow up into a vulgar, sex-crazed bonglord with a Boston accent so thick it’s like someone had shoved red sox up their tea party, Seth MacFarlane‘s trip back to the well now has a red band trailer.
And look, cards on the table here. If you excuse the pretty pointless transphobic joke at the end, there’s actually a few genuine laughs to be had here. Marky Mark‘s comedic timing remains bafflingly good, and as much any non-Patriots fan should loathe him, the appearance of first ballot Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady is certainly better than a slap in the face with a giant fish.
The second dip of Ted sees McFarlane, Mark Wahlberg, Jessica Barth, Patrick Warburton and Giovanni Ribisi all return, with Amanda Seyfried, Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson, Richard Schiff and David Hasselhoff all jumping on board for round two.
Ted 2 hits theatres on June 26th.
