Because we don’t get to see any new Game of Thrones episodes for AT LEAST a year, we’ve come to that desperate time where we scour paparazzi set photos to glean any minor clue we possibly can from the images, no matter how ridiculous / farfetched.
Today on the list: these pictures of Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) having a tense meeting at Kings Landing.

The pics show the adversaries together on Cersei’s turf for the first time since last season when the scheming Queen promised to help Jon in his war against the White Walkers, and then promptly double-crossed him, surprising no one (except maybe Jon eventually, who seems like a trusting sort of lad).
The pics have got despo fans talking, because why is Jon back here fraternising with the enemy?
Here are the questions I have: Did he come all this way to have a go at her for being a big liar? Is he here to try and convince her again that White Walkers are real? Here to admire her new outfit? Here to ask her advice about bumping uglies with a family member?
Look, we’re not going to know until next year, so your guess is a good as mine.
Meanwhile, Cersei’s killer new duds might hold some clues of their own (yes, I’m in a deep, deep dive here, send help). She’s decided to ditch the silver accents of Season 7 and tizz up her look with gold this time. And nothing – not even the costumes – are an accident in Westeros.
Some GoT sites reckon it’s because she’s really driving home that point of being the “last true Lannister” with the gold hardware (and is that a Lion around her neck?), since she considers her brothers to be lying pieces of lowlife scum at the moment.
I’ve squinted so hard at these pics I have a headache, so please feel free to weigh in with your own outlandish theories in the comments.
