The fifth season of ‘Game of Thrones’ most certainly is not upon us—although it is coming—but to distract from that heinously far-off release date, HBO have released two deleted scenes from season four (as well as a Monopoly game, for good measure), featuring a bitter Tyrion and an even bitterer (?) Daenerys.
The first deleted scene gives insight to the flawed and tortured (but OTP, let’s be honest) relationship between Tyrion and Shae, following up the couple’s final hour with Bronn’s consolation to Shae: “These people, even the good ones, they use us as they please. And when we’re no longer any use, they spit us out.” A Lannister always is a jerk.
The second deleted morsel sheds light on Daenerys’ reaction to severing bonds with Jorah Mormont. “Never betray me,” the Khaleesi says. Chills.
