Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Jeanie Finlay, The Last Watch is an up-close and intimate look at all the blood, sweat, and tears that went into Game of Thrones season eight. With each episode costing as much as 15 million buckeroos, the two-hour documentary will surely give even the most disappointed of fans something to appreciate.

From the trailer alone, we cop an emotional sneak peak at final table reads, life on production, last scenes, and goodbyes.

Game of Thrones: The Last Watch hits Foxtel tomorrow Monday, 27 May.

If you follow GoT on YouTube, you may have already watched a couple of Inside the Episode shorts in which creators D&D (David Benioff and D.B. Weiss), the crew, and actors break down key scenes like the Night King‘s death at the hands of Arya, Cersei and Jaime Lannister‘s divisive deaths, and the 55 nights of filming it took to bring us the Battle of Winterfell.

As for the spin-offs / successor shows, HBO programming president Casey Bloys recently told Deadline that the highly-desired Arya Stark spin-off is not going to happen. In fact, no direct spin-offs are in the cards as HBO are keen to explore other areas in George R.R. Martin‘s massive universe.
