Friends’ Gals Reunite, Mel B Backpedals & More Pop Culture Tea Of Late

It’s lovely to see you here again, you sexy pop culture aficionados. It’s that time of the week we’ve all come to know and love, when we walk hand-in-hand through the week that was, dissecting the major moments in entertainment and pop culture.

If you thought last week’s round-up was steamy, this week is rather scorching, sis. So once again, sit back, pour that lemon & ginger and absorb all of this internet tea. Let’s dive straight in.

Shrek: Comin’

In news we didn’t know we needed until now, Shrek The Musical is coming to Australia next year. The musical will start in Sydney in January, followed by stints in Melbourne and Brisvegas. Tickets will go on sale July 5 with pre-sales kicking off on July 1. You can join the official waitlist here. It’s all ogre for you if you miss out.

Mel B: Pedallin’

A group that isn’t confirmed to visit the great land of Oz? The Spice Girls. Scary Spice jumped on her old fix-it bike and started pedalling this week, after backtracking on her previous announcement that the Spice Girls were coming here early next year.

“So I announced it on stage, yes, without everyone else signing off 100 percent. I figured that if I put it out there, then maybe it’s going to happen, because I’ve been putting it out there for seven years,” she later told Breakfast with Grant, Ed & Ash, rightfully sent all Spice Girls lovers into meltdown.

In case you live under a really bland rock void of any Spice Girls knowledge, here’s the footage of Scary well and truly putting her foot it in it.

If you wanna go Down Under, you gotta get with my friends’ (signed contracts and approval).

Hamish & Andy: Travellin’

Hamish & Andy announced the arrival of their latest entertainment bub – a new series “Perfect” Holiday – which will hit Channel 9 sometime this year. ““We surprised each other with a new travel adventure every day over the last three weeks and created our ‘Perfect Holiday’,” they announced below on their ‘gram. Froth.

Courteney Cox: Teasin’

Courteney Cox posted a lovely flick with her fellow Friends co-stars Lisa Kudrow and Jennifer Aniston when they caught up for her birthday celebrations over the weekend. While this is most certainly the wholesome content that I well and truly subscribed for, this ‘gram also appears amidst a period of heightened buzz surrounding the Friends cast and a potential reunion. That being said, it seems like there’s been reunion buzz since their final episode in ’04. Let’s be Positive Penelopes though and cross our fingers and toes, hey?
