If there is anything the cast of Friends loves to do, it’s teasing fans with a comeback series without ever actually doing it. At least, that’s what we can take from images of Courteney Cox’s birthday celebrations, which feature former co-stars Lisa Kudrow and Jennifer Aniston.
Sure, the trio are obviously mates and can spend time together without returning to the screen, but you don’t power one of the most beloved sitcoms of all time without folks going ballistic whenever you’re in the same room.
Cox, who turned 55 over the weekend, shared one very sweet pic of her former colleagues. Behold:
That image was followed by this shot from Kudrow, who has imagined what Friends would have looked like through a Blingee filter:
Elsewhere, jeweller and mutual mate Jennifer Meyer posted this delightful pile-on:
Also: David Spade was there. Why not.
The photos come amid some heightened buzz for a potential reunion. Speaking to Ellen DeGeneres at the start of the month, Aniston said she’s sure the “girls,” along with male co-stars Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer, and Matthew Perry, would also chip in.
Aniston also recently offered up her viewpoint that her character, Rachel Green, and Schwimmer’s Ross Gellar, would still be together in the Friends universe.
Still, that’s all conjecture, so sit tight and imagine the above photos are confirmation instead of normal birthday shots.
