Zombies & Vamps have become the veritable action hero of the late naughties. The ichor siphoners have fanged their way onto mainstream TV through the likes of R. Patz, Sookie and Bill Murray – showing youngsters that it’s OK to be different…or something like that. In the spirit of the aforementioned waffle, ACMI will be screening three recent Zombie movies: Colin, inspired by Peter Jackson’s ‘Bad Taste’ and filmed on a camcorder; La Horde, a rollercoaster ride of bloody mayhem; and Zombies of Mass Destruction – the name pretty much sums that one up.
