Frances Bean Cobain Got Married, Didn’t Invite Courtney Love

Frances Bean Cobain, daughter of Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love, got married this week, but in a twist that may not be altogether surprising, didn’t tell her mum it was happening.
Cobain married her boyfriend of five years, The Eeries singer Isaiah Silver, in an intimate ceremony that was themed around “daisies in mason jars”, and included only 13-15 guests.
A source close to Courtney Love spoke to E!, and in so far as you can ever put any amount of trust in anonymous sources who claim to be close to celebrities, says she’s sad but okay with it:
“Courtney really likes Isaiah and is very happy for Frances. Courtney is sad she wasn’t at the wedding [but] this has not caused a rift between mom and daughter. Courtney was sad, but she’s cool and Isaiah is a great son-in-law.”
Earlier today, Love posted the below Instagram to clarify things, saying that she’s not sorry for missing “any important events” this week and was hanging out with actor James Norley.

If you think I’m sorry for being a no-show at any important events this week, think again. I was with @jamesnorley ? #candyface #worthflakingonanythingfor #heaven #worthit #slay #bae #cancelallmyappointments #donthate #stud #jealousmuch ? ???? Bwahaa xc

The mother and daughter have had a fairly tempestuous relationship over the last few years, but in August, Courtney sent Franes a sweet throwback Instagram, showing her with father Kurt, for her birthday.
Frances later responded, on Twitter: “Thanks for letting me utilize your human form to act as my alien incubation pod for 9 months. Love you mum XX.”
