Forget The Teaser, The “Ant-Man” Trailer Is Actually Here And It Actually Rules

Let’s just forget that whole “trailer for the trailer” thing that Marvel Studios put out yesterday. Although it’s *technically* appropriate to put a bite-sized look at a bite-sized look out for a film that’s all about size, it’s still an odd way of drip feeding information. Twitter exists and posting “LOOK OUT FOR TOMORROW” with seventeen hashtags costs way less than commissioning a days worth of work from a digital editor.

But that’s neither here nor there now, because overnight, as was foretold, the full trailer for the upcoming Ant-Man dropped, and now all is right with the world.
The film comes out on July 17th, and via the glory that is embeddable video, you’re now able to get your first real look at what’s going to be going on once it hits theatres. There’s plenty of Paul Rudd action, a hint at some Michael Douglas, more than a bit of Corey Stoll as the menacing Yellowjacket, and heaps of action featuring Ant-Man in all his size shrinking glory.
It even looks like it’s retained a fair amount of the dry humour that Edgar Wright originally envisaged for the film, which can only be a good thing. That train chase sequence that takes place on top of a model Thomas the Tank Engine set alone is enough to get me to part with my money.

Forget yesterday. Now’s the time to start getting keen.
