Hey guys. There is a movie called Sharknado that is premiering on US television network Syfy this week and I am excited about downloading it or somehow streaming it because of the following reasons:
1. It “stars” original Beverly Hills 90210 cast member Ian “Steve Sanders” Ziering and one-time starlet now lady-with-slightly-collapsed-face, Tara Reid.
2. Things happen in it that defy the basic laws of physics such as gravity and momentum, like when a shark that is falling from the sky experiences blow back after being shot with a 9mm.
3. SHARKS ARE FALLING FROM THE SKY.
4. The line: “We can’t just wait here and wait for sharks to rain down on us.” Not “we can’t just stay here and wait for sharks to rain down on us” or “we can’t just stand here and wait for sharks to rain down on us” but “we can’t just WAIT here and WAIT for sharks to rain down on us” as if the screenwriter (LOL) could give a flying shit about thinking up one more verb so the line didn’t deliver so jarringly.
5. It has what is probably the most perfectly conceived movie poster of all time.
I’m pretty sure I don’t need to make a note of THE PREMISE or the fact Kevin McCallister’s dad is playing one of the peripheral characters at the local bait shop.
