A New ‘Final Destination’ Flick Is In The Works From The Writers Of ‘Saw’

Final Destination

‘Final Destination’, the franchise responsible for making just about anything stupidly deadly, is being rebooted for a sixth film by New Line. And who’s writing the script? The delightful Saw writers, Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan.

Final Destination (2000), in which Alex Browning (Devon Sawa) cheats death alongside seven other passengers, is all about Death getting even. One by one, the survivors meet their ends in the most unfortunate ways making one severely paranoid for at least a week post-viewing.

According to The Hollywood Reporterthe reboot will be a “re-imagining” of the franchise. Make of that what you will but I’m going to go ahead and assume a bunch of people will cheat death again and all sorts of shit will hit the fan as a result.

New Line, the cinema company behind The Conjuring, The Nun, Annabelle, and It, have been making a killing in the horror industry lately so it makes sense they’d want to reboot an old favourite.

In the meantime, It: Chapter Two will hit cinemas later this year. This second instalment picks up 27 years after the events of the first film meaning the members of the Losers’ Clubs are all grown up now.

Jessica Chastain stars as the adult BevJames McAvoy as BillJay Ryan as Ben, Bill Hader as Richie, James Ransone as Eddie,  Andy Bean as Stan, and the ever-so creepy Bill Skarsgård returns as It.

It: Chapter Two will scare you shitless come September 2019.

Anywhoo, time to relive the fun.
