We know, we were stressed too when news emerged that somebody out there was planning on remaking the ever-iconic film starring the late David Bowie, Labyrinth.
‘HOW DARE THEY!’ we cried in unison. ‘THAT FILM COULD NEVER BE REMADE, NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS!’
And thankfully, we were right.
The person in question was Guardians of the Galaxy, Nicole Perlman. The Hollywood Reporter reported earlier this week that she was remaking the film, and that Tristar had “closed a deal with the Jim Henson Co to produce a new iteration” which would be “rebooted for the 21st century”.
But Perlman said on Twitter that that is absolutely not the case, and we shouldn’t be falling for “clickbait”.
Guys, please don’t fall for all the clickbait. No one is remaking “Labyrinth.” That movie is perfect as it is.
