‘Fault In Our Stars’ Author John Green Confirms Film Adaptation Of ‘Looking For Alaska’

If you’ve ever wondered down to the ole internet hole that is tumblr, it wouldn’t take you long to be assaulted by a moody and artful post like this one, AKA Tumblr 101:

That last bit – “If people were rain, I was drizzle and she was hurricane” is etched so firmly into YA fiction DNA it pretty much became a turning point for the ‘genre’ and most certainly amplified the impeccable John Green’s reach.

Where Green really got big, however, was last year’s beloved hit “A Fault In Our Stars”, a film based on Green’s novel of the same name. It reduced cinemas full of people worldwide to tears, it put the spotlight on Shailene Woodley, and it made a staggering $304 million at the box office.

Today, John Green has announced on Twitter that his award-winning debut novel ‘Looking For Alaska’ will be adapted for the big screen, reuniting the same team who put ‘The Fault In Our Stars’ together:

Even though ‘Looking For Alaska’ is Manic Pixie Dream Girl fuel to a T, Green’s book is written beautifully, has most definitely reached cult status, and if ‘The Fault In Our Stars’ adaptation is anything to go by, it’s going to be A+.
