‘Drag Race’ All Star Farrah Moan Begs Fans To Stop Being Mean To Queens

RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 4 star Farrah Moan has taken to social media to make a plea for kindness and respect, saying that she is unsure if she will be able to take the hurtful comments of fans week after week when the new season goes to air.

Drag Race lovers are a passionate bunch, but anyone who’s had even a passing glance at the comments on Twitter and Instagram knows that many simply can’t draw the line when it comes to racism, transphobia and just generally trash behaviour.

Yesterday saw the announcement of the All Stars 4 cast, and it seems that Farrah Moan – who originally appeared in Season 9 of the show – copped a fair bit of backlash. Earlier today, she took to Twitter to write:

“[I don’t know] if my mental health is at a point where I can handle another round of these fans and their hurtful opinions every week. I am nervous … I wish [people] looked at us as human beings with a passion for our art instead of these disposable dancing monkeys here for [your] entertainment.”

She continued:

“Can’t even have fun with the cast announcement without seeing hundreds of comments of [people] laughing at me and about how I am a waste of a spot. God damnit I forgot how mean [people] are.”

Farrah is far from the only Drag Race queen to cop trolling on social media. During All Stars 3 earlier this year, Chi Chi DeVayne shared a series of death threats that she and another unnamed queen had received, and that was truly the tip of the iceberg.

It is unclear if this latest plea for decency and common sense will be heard or appreciated, but we can only hope. Please be kind and respectful to your queens, everyone.
