Unfortunately, it appears that there are no happy endings for the couples on Farmer Wants A Wife (FWAW) Australia 2026, with Zac Kupier and Maya Bini officially calling it quits.
In a shock announcement, the Season 16 couple confirmed the demise of their relationship in a joint Instagram post.
“From the beginning, our connection was strong. We then became each other’s best friends, which led us into an amazing relationship," Maya penned alongside a video montage of their FWAW journey, admitting that “long-distance proved to be no easy journey”.
“The timing for us to make that next move wasn’t right, and unfortunately, this shifted the relationship. We have therefore decided to go our separate ways,” she continued.
"We are so incredibly grateful to Farmer Wants A Wife for bringing us together. We will both cherish the memories and experiences we shared forever.
“We still have an immense amount of love and respect for each other, and definitely zero bad blood."
The pulse of Australian culture, since 2005.

The split comes as a major surprise, as Zac and Maya were completely smitten with each other up until after the reunion. It even got to a point where the pair were hit with pregnancy rumours after they joked about the "fourth generation of apple farmers".
Also, Maya got a major stamp of approval from Zac's twin, Isobel Kupier, who shared a sweet snap with the finalist on TikTok.
“Picked a good one,” Isobel wrote.
With Zac and Maya calling it quits, that means 2026's run of the show didn't produce any successful couples, which is truly devastating, as it's one of the most successful dating shows out there.
FWAW has produced 22 couples, 11 marriages and 27 children throughout its 16 seasons.
