Michael B. Jordan doesn’t have a great track record of burning things on screen. He tried as The Human Torch in 2015’s Fantastic Four, a film which was, well, roasted. But the new trailer for HBO’s film adaptation of Fahrenheit 451 promises a flicker of hope for fans and pyromaniacs alike.
Jordan stars in the adaptation of Ray Bradbury‘s cornerstone dystopian novel as fireman Guy Montag, employed by the state to incinerate any remnant of the written word.
The conflicted Montag is faced by Michael Shannon’s Beatty, who is somewhat keener on destroying all dissenting thought.
Fahrenheit 451 will arrive on HBO soon, and likely on Foxtel after. Catch the trailer below:
