Emma Watson Started A Feminist Book Club, And Matt McGorry’s Heaps Keen

In further proof that a Venn diagram of Emma Watson and Hermione Granger is very nearly just a circle, the former has legit started a feminist book club, where like-minded ladies and gents can come together to read + discuss all things equality.

It’s called ‘Our Shared Shelf‘, and each month a different book / essay will be picked, read, and discussed. So just like a regular book club except online and with Emma Watson. *screams*

“As part of my work with UN Women, I have started reading as many books and essays about equality as I can get my hands on,” she wrote. “There is so much amazing stuff out there! Funny, inspiring, sad, thought-provoking, empowering! I’ve been discovering so much that, at times, I’ve felt like my head was about to explode… I decided to start a Feminist book club, as I want to share what I’m learning and hear your thoughts too.”

It you want to get amongst it – and the bookclub is HERE, btw – the first book if you want to get involved is ‘My Life on the Road‘ by iconic feminist Gloria Steinem.

Excellent human Matt McGorry may or may not be there.

SEE YOU THERE BUDS! (Says this writer, I cannot speak for the rest of PEDESTRIAN.TV.)
