Actress and renowned stirring speech-giver Emma Watson was accepting an award for British Artist of the Year in L.A. recently, when she touched upon a story about a very special friend who is no longer with us.
During the filming of the first Harry Potter, Watson’s beloved pet hamster Millie died, so the crew of the film, in a gesture that goes well above and beyond, built a tiny, hamster-sized coffin out of mahogany and velvet.
Watson was making a point about how grateful she is to the film industry for embracing her, we think, but it’s hard to tell because we’re too busy imagining the cutest pet funeral ever.
