In some wonderful news for a change, Emma Stone is expecting a wee bub with Drew McCary.
While the couple hasn’t officially announce the pregnancy, Stone was pictured cradling her baby bump while out on a walk with a mate in Los Angeles the other day.
The Daily Mail published the photos.
This is Stone’s first baby with McCary, who is a Saturday Night Live writer.
“She seems very happy and very excited about becoming a mother – she’s constantly oohing and cooing,” a source told Us Weekly. “She’s been keeping up with friends and work lately, she’s always staying active and gets her daily exercise in.”
The couple first started dating in 2017 and announced their engagement on Instagram in December 2019.
Stone doesn’t have Instagram, so McCary shared the good news at the time. The engagement ring, designed by Tokyo-based designer Kataoka, features an eight-millimetre pearl at its centre, surrounded by diamonds.
It’s believed the pair quietly married last year during lockdown, after Stone was spotted with a wedding band on her ring finger during an appearance on Reese Witherspoon‘s Hello Sunshine YouTube channel.
The couple were later snapped wearing their wedding bands in public.
Stone was set to reunite with her La La Land director, Damien Chazelle, in his upcoming period drama Babylon, but pulled out last month due to scheduling conflicts. Although, we now know that “scheduling conflicts” probably meant “baby”, rather than another project.
Brad Pitt will star in the film, which is said to be set in the late 1920s, during the movie industry’s shift from silent films to talkies.
Early last December, it was reported Margot Robbie was in talks to replace Stone in the film.
