Those who live by the sword, die by the sword. As Nietzsche said, if you gaze long into the abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you. E! News managed to both die by their own sword and have their own abyss look right back into ’em today, after naming and shaming one of their own hosts among the ‘Worst Dressed’ at the Golden Globes.
As someone who generally dresses like a complete shitbag, worst dressed lists look to me like a series of absolutely beautifully dressed, objectively gorgeous people who would make me look like a pile of discarded rags if they ever stood next to me, but, hey, people are apparently into them, so E! keeps doing them.
The exercise, however, did not go super smoothly for them yesterday, when they burned their own Karrueche Tran for what appears to my untrained eye to be a perfectly delightful dress.
Clearly whoever was evaluating the evening’s outfits did not agree with me, however, chucking a pic of Tran up in their ‘Worst Dressed’ list while she was still hosting. Awks.
The photo was quickly deleted from the list after they realised their fuckup, but, as Metallica so famously said, the memory remains.
Just in case you were thinking maybe just put the photo in the list by accident, it also came with a caption about the length of the dress was “wrong”. Nice work.
