We’ve all seen just about every possible variation on the zombie film spectrum by now – and even the zomcom genre is starting to fill up.
‘Course, nobody’s ever really thought of doing a film where the only zombies are children.
Cooties is an upcoming film from the pen of Ian Brennan – the co-creator of Glee – and Leigh Whannell – ‘Strayan legend of the Saw franchise fame.
The whole thing is your typical zombie survival style film, with a plot centring around a bunch of teachers at an elementary school who suddenly find themselves with their backs to the wall when a zombie virus spreads through the school’s population. The virus is transmitted via chicken nuggets, and only affects people who haven’t gone through puberty.
The trailer has dropped for the film, and though it doesn’t look like it’s going to reinvent any wheels, it does look like it could well be a shitload of fun.
Rainn Wilson and Elijah Wood head up the impressive cast, which also features Alison Pill, Jack McBrayer, Nasim Pedrad, Jorge Garcia, and Whannell in a small cameo role.
