For a movie that most people are sure is going to be crap, ‘Dumb and Dumber To’ sure is taking its time being made and thus building a whole lot of expectations. Starring Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels, the sequel post-the shitty prequel has been pushed forward to November 14th, 2014 – which places it very close to the 20th Anniversary of the original. Word has been trickling down of other noteworthy castings, including the legendary Kathleen Turner, Jennifer Lawrence (as young Kathleen Turner), Rob Riggle and Laurie Holden (Andrea from Walking Dead).
The official synopsis: 20 years after the dimwits set out on their first adventure, they head out in search of one of their long lost children in the hope of gaining a new kidney.
We’re crossing fingers and toes for a surprise pot of comedy gold but even if it does prove the old adage ‘If it ain’t broke, don’t sequel’ to be 100% correct, at least the creators are going to be just fine.
