Drunk Air New Zealand Crew Investigated For Cuddling All Blacks

Air New Zealand is investigating its staff over claims that some of them took their love of national rugby team the All Blacks a little bit too far last week, in an incident that has come to be known as ‘Cuddlegate’.
It’s the cutest scandal ever, and it’s shaking New Zealand to its core.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, on a flight from L.A. to New Zealand last Thursday, some off duty Air New Zealand cabin crew were so stoked to see the team that they got drunk, abused fellow staff and “cuddled” All Blacks players.
The team were returning from a northern hemisphere tour, where they had recently enjoyed a decisive victory against Wales, and up to seven off duty crew decided to get on the piss and celebrate with them.
“There was a suggestion that some of the crew travelling back to New Zealand as passengers may have consumed too much alcohol and the matter is currently under investigation,” said a representative for the airline.
“Given this is an employment issue, Air New Zealand will not be commenting further.”
While Australia is no stranger to drunken plane shenanigans, usually it’s unruly passengers to blame, so we commend our New Zealand neighbours for their innovativeness in this field, and promise to try harder in future.
