Drew Barrymore Recalls ‘Wild Time’ She Third-Wheeled On A Date With Zac Efron & The Other Vanessa

Remember Vanessa Hudgens? The other Vanessa that Zac Efron dated? The non-Aussie one? Yeah, she starred alongside him in the High School Musical films and just like their characters, Troy and Gabriella, they fell madly in love and dated IRL.

Well anyway, the Disney Vanessa just stopped by The Drew Barrymore Show, a.k.a. the quirky talkshow run by, you guessed it, Drew Barrymore, and she shared a spicy yarn about that time she wound up third-wheeling on a date with Zanessa (that was their ship name, in case you’ve forgotten).

“I was just thinking about, back in the day, we went to a Kings of Leon concert together, you, me and Zac Efron,” Barrymore told Hudgens. “And it was one of the funnest nights of my life.” Mmm, tell us (Barry)more, Drew…

Hudgens said that that night was a “wild time” and I’m gonna need more intel on how wild this night was. As wild as the time that a fan caught Zac and Vanessa at a sex shop and made them take piccies together? Because that was wiiiiiiiild.

“Are you kidding me? It’s like, still a story I tell to this day,” said Vanessa Hudgens. “That was such a wild time. I remember being there, and I was like, ‘What’s happening? This is so amazing.’ You were so sweet.”

Drew Barrymore added: “I was literally your and Zac’s third wheel! It was so fun, and you guys were so cute and cozy and I just had the best time.”

And that was it, unfortunately, so we may never know just how wild her night with Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens was, which is a shame.

Moving on from Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens now, I still remember that time Drew Barrymore appeared on Watch What Happens Live and when asked for her wildest story with ’90s bestie, Courtney Love, she gave minor but intriguing deets then as well.

After going to see Green Day together, besties Courtney and Drew rolled up to a club and when the bouncers denied them entry because they didn’t have a backstage pass, Courtney obnoxiously said: “My FACE is a backstage pass!” And, I mean, fair.
