Dr. Death, a new medical murder thriller about maimed surgery gone wrong, hit Stan today and it’s about to leave you a) in love with Joshua Jackson all over again and b) terrified of going under with doctor daddy.
During surgery, there’s always a fear amongst patients, friends, family and medical experts that something goes wrong. But, for Dr. Duntsch (Jackson), that’s the goal.
Dr. Death follows the terrifying real true story (!!) of Dr. Christopher Duntsch, a Dallas surgeon who maimed and murdered several patients by purposefully botching their surgeries.
I’m talking: draining someone’s blood like a scientific vampire, leaving one brain dead, and turning a third into a quadriplegic.
Uh, Joshua Jackson as a sadistic murderer is going to be conflicting, to say the least.

You might remember the story from such hit podcasts as Wondery’s Dr. Death, which as the podcast network’s follow-up to Dirty John was an almost equally huge smash hit in the true crime pod world.
The Dr. Death series also stars daddies Christian Slater (Heathers, Mr. Robot) and Alec Baldwin (30 Rock) who begin to crack the case and deep dive into Duntsch’s medical snip-snips.
And, let me be the first to say, my man Christian is looking *good* in a suit. For real, I’m about to act up and let some information slip his way free of charge.

If you’re intrigued and want to see more before you commit to a marathon of eps, you can have a look at the gloriously uncomfy trailer to Dr. Death below.
If you’re keen, check it all out on Stan because all eight episodes of this true crime drama are streaming right bloody well now.
