Disney’s Goin’ Hogwild With Live-Action Remakes & Snow White Is Next

Disney is really trying its best to replicate the wildly, wildly successful Marvel model of film franchises by absolutely pumpin’ out the aesthetically-unified live-action remakes of its classic cartoons. Are there new stories to tell? Who knows! Let’s just remake all the old ones!

The next cab off the rank is Snow White – that lovely old yarn about the woman who lives with seven tiny men and is put into a coma by an apple. You know, that story everyone can relate to.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, it’s in the works over at Disney, and the script will likely land in the hands of Erin Cressida Wilson, who adapted The Girl on the Train. It’ll also be a musical – in the vein of the Jungle Book remake, quite possibly – with La La Land‘s Benj Pasek and Justin Paul sorting that out.
This means we’re waiting on Snow White, as well as Beauty and the Beast, Mulan, The Lion King, and Aladdin. My lord.
