Australian jewellery designer Larsen Jewellery was tasked with creating a ring swish enough to satisfy not just the woman who’d wear it, but the thousands of viewers peering suspiciously at their screens tonight – a tall order indeed.
Still, we reckon they’ve done a bang-up job. To create the sparkly thing, senior jeweller at Larsen Kate Reid worked with Matty on a custom design. The result? An extremely pretty trinket, which sports a 1.3-carat oval diamond set in 18 carat white gold, with an extra 32 babby diamonds set into the shoulders of the ring in case one big rock wasn’t enough.
Is the sight of such a handsome bauble likely to account for at least 20% of tonight’s winner’s tears? Probably. Are we about to see a wave of copycat rings adorning the fingers of every second gal in your local Westfield? Almost definitely.
Are we still one hundred per cent here for it? HELL YES.
