
Friends actor David Schwimmer has taken to Twitter to clear his name after a photo of a man who looks a helluva lot like him went viral as he’s wanted by police in the English city of Blackpool regarding a theft at a local restaurant.

The 51-year-old actor reenacted the surveillance footage in his native New York to prove that he was nowhere near Blackpool at the time of the incident and therefore could not possibly be responsible for the theft.
He tweeted:
“Officers, I swear it wasn’t me. As you can see, I was in New York. To the hardworking Blackpool Police, good luck with the investigation. #itwasntme.”
