Doc Marten wearing Daria was the antithesis of the apple pie American 90s high school kids of Beverly Hills 90210: cerebral, cynical and misanthropic, she was the ultimate anti-cheerleader trapped in middle class suburbia.
It has been a long road of rumours, denials, petitions, complaints, dedicated websites and death threats, but last year it was finally announced that Daria: The Complete Animated Series will be released on DVD for the first time ever as of 11 May.
It has all five seasons and both movies, promising 1606 minutes of sarcastic teen angst, poor motor-reflex skills, Jane’s brother Trent and terminal pessimism.
