To spread a little magic in iso, precious man Daniel Radcliffe has read aloud the first chapter of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. Harry Potter reading Harry Potter, you love to see it.

Radcliffe, as well as a handful of other stars, have joined the efforts of Harry Potter At Home to make things in iso just that little bit better. Each star will read a chapter of the beloved novel from their own homes, bringing you right back to where it all started.

And if you’re keen to flex your Wizarding World knowledge, there are Chapter Challenges after every episode. Once sorted into your Hogwarts house, you can collect house points as you complete chapter-themed tasks and quizzes, along with a ~ secret ~ quest.

You can find the first chapter – 25 minutes long – on WizardingWorld.com, Radcliffe included. Or, if you prefer, you can listen to the audio-only version on Spotify. The choice is yours.

New chapter readings will drop every week, with a brand new narrator. So far we know Stephen Fry, David Beckham, Dakota Fanning, Claudia Kim, Noma Dumezweni, and Eddie Redmayne have all recorded their own readings.

All 17 chapters will be read out so be sure to check back online every week to see who’s next.

Did my heart burst a little upon seeing Daniel Radcliffe begin his reading? Yes, yes it did.
