Daniel Craig And Rachel Weisz Have Welcomed A New Baby Daughter

British acting power couple Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz have welcomed their first child together, a baby girl. The 50-year-old James Bond star and the 48-year-old Academy Award winner are generally a very private couple, but have apparently told friends that they are “very happy” about their daughter’s birth, and yeah, I guess that checks out.

Weisz announced her pregnancy this past April in an interview with the New York Times, telling the publication: “Daniel and I are so happy. We’re going to have a little human. We can’t wait to meet him or her. It’s all such a mystery.”

The pair, who married in 2011 in a private ceremony with just four guests in attendance, each has a child from a previous relationship – Weisz has a 12-year-old son with Black Swan director Darren Aronofsky while Craig has a 26-year-old daughter with actress Fiona Loudon.

After a great deal of speculation as to whether or not he would return to the Bond franchise, Daniel Craig eventually confirmed that he would be coming back to the series for what will probably be his last go-around, in the still-untitled Bond 25.

The film hit an unexpected speed bump recently, after director Danny Boyle quit over creative differences. One popular rumor is that Craig and producer Barbara Broccoli wanted to kill Bond off in “spectacular” fashion, but Boyle refused, labelling the idea “ridiculous.”

The film had been due to go into production this December, with a view to a November 2019 release date, but Boyle’s departure threw this into doubt. At this stage, producers are reportedly hoping to stick to the planned release date, as long as a director can be found in the next two months.
